From H for hormones, P for periods to c for cycles. Why this blog exists and what awaits you

Updated: Nov 21, 2022

A warm and hearty welcome to our blog from "happywomenslife.com".

Why we at "happywomenslife" love to talk about period, cycle, PMS or period products

  1. Because far too many girls and women in this world suffer from incredible pain before and during their periods.

  2. Because their quality of life is sometimes so severely restricted by their period problems that they cannot go to school or work, for example.

  3. Because a hell of a lot of women have STDs due to multiple use of unhygienic materials, because they can't afford sanitary pads, for example.

  4. Because so many wrong things about periods, sexuality, contraception have been taught to us girls/women and are suggested by the media (e.g. that blood is dirty and impure, blue/lilac blood in sanitary pad advertisements).

  5. Because old traditions lead to the perpetuation of shame and shyness of women; to be able to talk openly about these issues. From generation to generation...

  6. Because we girls/women doubt ourselves far too often and think, "There is something wrong with me.... Am I depressed?!" when we are bitching, dissatisfied, angry or moody.

  7. Because there is still a rumour going around that the only true and best period products are "pad & tampon".

  8. Because soooo much waste is created by period products and our nature but also our body suffers from it.

  9. Because PMS symptoms, pain and discomfort are not normal!

  10. Because us women have a damn hard time keeping up with society's expectations. How is a woman with abdominal cramps, for example, supposed to be able to work exactly as she did 1 week prior?

Without clarification, you're left with blue period blood, "labia" and dirty rags in your panties during your period!

On our blog there will be a lot of wakeup- moments, knowledge and experiences

about the female body. From A like alternative period products, C for cycle,

E like endometriosis, H like hormones, to P like period and much more.

The topics and authors of the blog posts about the female body change regularly, so you can find something on many topics.

Every post is meant to make you a reader...

- ... enlighten you with knowledge that you can easily understand.

- ... inspire you, give you impulses, suggestions on how to explain your period to a child or what can help you with PMS symptoms.

- ... motivate, encourage you to question things like "Do I really want to continue using tampons?" or whether you want to search for the cause of your pain before/during your period.

- ... shake up what you may accept, overlook or ignore but makes you sick and unhappy.

- ... simply give you the feeling that everything is right with you, even though no one seems to understand you.
